What is this machine used for?
The SVA3050K is a moving-column CNC machining center with rack-driven X-axis travel of 3000 mm, Y travel of 550 mm and Z travel of 550 mm. Its table measures 3500×500 mm and has a maximum load of 3000 kg. Evaluate it for milling and drilling long workpieces after checking the fixture, tool access, material and required configuration.

Can it mill and drill long workpieces?
Consider this machine for long plates, profiles and similar parts requiring milling or drilling along their length. Compare the whole workpiece and fixture with the table dimensions, rated load and axis travels. A travel value is a machine movement limit, not guaranteed usable machining space. Material grade, cutting conditions, tool access and the actual process require engineering confirmation.
Which column and spindle configuration will be supplied?
The K variant uses rack transmission on X. The table lists a BT40-150 spindle interface, 12000 rpm spindle speed and a disc magazine with a tool-change arm, designated BT40-24T. Confirm the supplied column arrangement, spindle connection, workholding and tool set; these specifications do not establish automatic part loading or unattended production.
Standard Z travel is 550 mm; 700 mm Z travel is an option. Confirm the corresponding spindle-to-table distances and clearances for the supplied option. Approximate mass in the table applies to column arrangement A. The length expression separately lists the machine and chip conveyor allowance; verify the complete installation layout.
The listed positioning and repeat positioning specifications refer to machine axes. Confirm the measurement method, test length, compensation and acceptance conditions. They do not guarantee a finished-part tolerance. The 0.001 mm minimum input increment is a control command increment, not an accuracy guarantee.
What should be agreed before ordering?
Agree the supplied configuration, material and workholding review, inspection and acceptance criteria, installation conditions, training and after-sales responsibilities with the contact person. Formal configuration and quotation are confirmed directly. You can make first contact without choosing an exact model or attaching a drawing; confidential details can follow through an agreed channel.
Questions before choosing a moving-column machining center
Which dimensions matter when selecting a machine for a long part?
Start with the part length, width, height, mass and fixture. Compare them with the table, load rating and X/Y/Z travels; then check tool reach, clamping positions, supports and collisions. Axis travel alone does not establish the usable machining envelope.
Is this the same configuration as an SVA/T machine without the K suffix?
The exact model shown here retains its K suffix and uses rack transmission on X. Confirm the complete model and ordered configuration. Do not assume that an unsuffixed or combined series designation has identical specifications.
Does 0.001 mm mean the machine will hold that part tolerance?
No. It is the minimum input increment. Positioning, repeat positioning and finished-part tolerances are different quantities. Agree the test standard and evaluate the actual part, process, fixture, tools and temperature conditions.
Which materials and automation options are suitable?
Provide the exact material grade, features, cutting requirements and desired loading method. Suitability and any loading or integration equipment require engineering confirmation; CNC control does not by itself establish automated loading.
Can I ask for help before choosing a model or preparing a drawing?
Yes. Describe the part and the milling or drilling task in your own words. Add size, material and quantity if known. The contact person can clarify the configuration and agree a channel for confidential drawings later.
